Vallarta Pride 2024 Reports Excellent Results Of Its Last Edition

Vallarta Online / PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO – Vallarta Pride 2024 has established itself as one of the most important Pride events in all of Latin America. After eleven years of being held, Vallarta Pride 2024 has positioned itself as the number one Pride event among beach destinations in Mexico and Latin America. This was demonstrated in the eleventh edition of the event, which took place from May 22nd to 26th of this year.

An Iconic Event in Puerto Vallarta

Under the theme “Sun & the Beach”, Vallarta Pride 2024 was a 6-day celebration with 14 events, including fashion and food festivals, art exhibits, parties, an inclusive race, and the spectacular parade through the main streets of the city. This event attracted a total of 17,417 attendees who enjoyed 40 hours of entertainment.

Activities and Unforgettable Moments

The parade culminated with a big party on the beach, something that not many destinations with big Pride events can boast. In addition, a fair was held at the Lázaro Cárdenas Park in the Romantic Zone, where 43 exhibiting brands from various sectors, including restaurants, bars, art galleries, real estate companies, associations and various businesses oriented to the segment, gathered.

For the first time, Vallarta Pride 2024 included an art auction to raise funds to beautify public spaces in the city in collaboration with the exclusive Thompson chain, which will soon inaugurate a luxury hotel and residences complex in the hotel zone of Puerto Vallarta.

Strategic Alliances and Sponsorships

This year, the organizers were able to establish important strategic alliances with internationally renowned brands such as Scruff and Toro. In addition, sponsorships were obtained with the RPA agency, which was in charge of publicizing Vallarta Pride 2024 in important national media, and with the company MAS Comunicación, which advertised the event on spectacular screens and digital clocks located at strategic points in Mexico City.

Media Impact and Relevance of Pink Tourism

Press conferences were also held in conjunction with the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, 23 interviews in the local media and more than 30 articles in the national media, achieving an unprecedented national and international media reach. More than 12.6 million impacts were achieved on television, press and internet, highlighting the relevance of pink tourism, of which Puerto Vallarta has been a mecca for years.

Recognition and Preparation for the Future

At a press conference to announce these results, Javier Jimenez, president of Vallarta Pride, extended his gratitude to all those who support this event, which is the prelude to all Pride events around the world as it is held at the end of May. The success of Vallarta Pride 2024 generated an economic revenue of 17 billion pesos and the invitation for the destination to participate in this year’s Pride festivities in New York.

Luis Villaseñor, director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, congratulated the organizers for the excellent results obtained: “We are very proud to see the growth that Vallarta Pride has had since its beginnings eleven years ago; it could not be otherwise in Puerto Vallarta, a world famous destination for being the only one in Mexico that has a Gayborhood with more than 70 businesses that proactively promote the segment, including restaurants, hotels, stores and entertainment”.

Vallarta Pride has consolidated itself as the largest event in the destination, being pink tourism the one that contributes the most to the economic revenue with around 33% of the tourist GDP. The event’s organizing committee is already working on the preparation of Vallarta Pride 2025, which will tentatively take place from May 17 to 25.
