We find this little sister of the River Cafe to be excellent in its own manner. The menu features recipes from various parts of Mexico, a mixture of flavors and textures. The setting is a lovely inner garden with art and plants. Staff is professional and attentive. We recommend this place highly!
Thierry Blouet strikes gold once again with his version of a very fine upscale steak house but offering much more like chicken, pork and fish. We had a divine time with seared tuna and delicious short ribs. Wonderful but save up your pesos!
Forget the fajitas, blended margaritas, burgers and fries, this place serves the real thing. Carmen, my sweetheart, hails from a mexico City family and she set up shop here preparing the old recipes and adding some newer twists, like Slow Food. I love this place. Try to go on a Sat. night for some live soft music while you dine around the arrayan tree.
Smoked marlin in Puerto Vallarta is hard to beat than here. I have made this my airport stopover, on the way back stateside as a fond memory of seafood. Tacon is sort of like a big burrito deep fried and loaded inside with marlin, shrimp, fish or octopus. Heaven on earth. Be sure to check the family's old B&W photos on the wall, showing their fine prizes from decades past. They now have 3 operations, so look them up. I have the addresses in my guide.
