Amazing tasty delights!Rated:![]() by Gita Vandahla from Canada Written 4 months ago | This place is awesome! I've been there probably 10 - 12 times, and every time I go back I drag some hardcore meat eater type people with me.((I'm a veggie girl)) And even though I had to pretty much carry a couple of them in, everybody ate at least two plates of delectable goodness. Love it. |
Best veggie buffet ever!!Rated:![]() by Rasa from Van, BC Written 8 months ago | My sister and I (both veggies since birth) at there all three days we were in PV, breakfast and dinner. It was so good, well priced and the staff were really friendly. They serve the best pancakes for breakfast (I think they are made with amaranth flour - though I didn't ask) and a chai-like oatmeal. And the veggie "steak" at dinner was so good.
It's off the tourist path but still in the heart of dt pv. It was a nice hike from our hotel. |
BEST VEGAN FOOD EVER!!!!Rated:![]() by Sharon from Canada Written 9 months ago | I don't even know half of what I ate but it was DELICIOUS!!!!!! (and VEGAN) Anything that contained any dairy would be labeled however this particular time I was there the menus said ALL VEGAN. They switch up the buffet I think 3 times weekly? (something like that)
Anyway....it is ALL YOU CAN EAT and DRINK! I HIGHLY recommend Planeta Vegetariano.......I only wish Vancouver had such a wonderful vegan option such as this! I have never left a restaurant feeling so full but so good at the same time. |
Best Vegetarian Restaurant in MexicoRated:![]() by JNG from Canada Written 11 months ago | Whenever my wife and I are in Puerto Vallarta, the only place that we ever eat at is Planeta Vegetariano. On a recent Princess Cruise we did not book an excursion at our stop in P.V. Instead we took a taxi downtown so that we could eat at Planeta. That was by far the best food we ate on our cruise. |
Incredible!!!!by Lori from USAWritten 11 months ago | My husband and I ate here all 3 days we were in PV. The staff was great, the price was perfect, and the food was incredible!! The menu changed every day. The black beans were the best I've had, piled on top of a crisp tortilla with fake "steak". The pumpkin-seed soup was unforgettable. They brought us a slice of dessert out when we were finished. |
Off the Charts Excellentby LadyHawk from USAWritten 1 year ago | My husband and I roamed the streets of Puerto Vallarta for three days after we first arrived, looking for a restuarant that served vegetables. My husband is Type-O (a meat and potatoes eater); I am Type-AB (a food-sensitive enigma). Almost every restaurant we asked said, "Salad" when we asked about vegetables, and salad meant only iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato and a couples of slices of onion if you were lucky. Say What?
On day number 4, however, we found Planeta Vegetariaro. From that point forward, for a total of six days in a row, we ate literally nowhere else during the rest of our stay in PV. Even my husband, Mr. Caveman, was completely satisfied with this food. And I? I who had lived in Thailand for 2 years and had dined at a world-class Thai curry restuarant where even people from India used to come because the curry there was so unbelievebly good, I had to admit without a doubt that the curry at Planeta Vegetariano was absolutely just as good as the award-winning curry in Thailand. The people at Planeta Vegetariano accomplished the impossible. It was amazing: every day they had a different menu. Wherever in the world I would have found this resturant, I would tell you the same thing: These people know how to cook. The food is excellent, filling, tasty and nutritious. Finding Plenta Vegetariano a tiny back alleyway in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico makes it all the more remarkable. What an absolute find! |
Fantastic!by Penny from CanadaWritten 1 year ago | A joy to discover! It is nice to find a place where a vegetarian can eat whatever they want! I cannot remember the last time I ate as well!

A lucky find, thanks to Ras MicholRated:![]() by Orne Rico Yote from none Written 1 year ago | A true gem. Great vegetarian food, friendly folks, interesting, uplifting, comfortable decor, and very reasonable prices. What more could one ask for. One of THE best veggie restaurants I've come across in near 40 years international travel search. |
Hooray for Planeta VegetarianoRated:![]() by Paul Askew from World Traveller Written 2 years ago | What a gem of a place. Best Vegetarian place I have found in a long time. Fantastic choice, amazing value. The food tasted great -- and it was nice to have a variety of food that was not just for those that miss the taste of meat.
I ate here 3 times over 4 days. Twice for breakfast (pancakes and syrup, yum) and once for dinner. I would go back again and again if my stomach could handle the collosal amount of food and choice each day. |
A Welcome OasisRated:![]() by Jason M. from USA Written 2 years ago | We ate at Planeta three times in five days, we liked it so much. Great family place. High chairs for the little ones. Great hot dishes. Wide variety of delicious, fresh cold salads. Can't say enough good things about this place. |
