Description

Set at the foot of the Sierra Madres is Filipe's, where you can dine outside on an elegant terrace while looking down at Vallarta. Their menu features Mexcian specialities and seafood.

In a former life Filipe's Restaurant was a home. Now it is a restaurant. The bar is surround by fruit trees and has a majestic view of Vallarta and the bay. The food is tastefully prepared and the staff is capable and friendly.

I was married here on July 14th, 2006. It was incredible! The staff was so accommodating and the food was delicious. Being off-season, we were the only ones there so they didn't charge us anything to set up the small ceremony on the patio. We had a wonderful time.

Most romantic...quiet...spectacular view

Everything about this restaurant is romantic. I dined here 12 years ago and had the same waiter, Floy. Ask to have Floy. His father worked there and retired and Floy is fantastic. If you can walk...walk there as it is beautiful and you can really get the feel for the city.(only in daylight). Cab at night. Food is a bit expensive but the view is worth it. The food was very good but the atmosphere is a must.

View was fantastic, food was delicious, service on the first visit was extra special as we had a great young waiter who was very personable. Second time everything was just as fantastic but we did not get the same waiter but ours was very good. Our old waiter recognized us and came and talked to us. We will always go back to Felipes and highly reccomend it to our friends.
