The American School in Puerto Vallarta invites you to enjoy the theater play titled "Oliver", which will be presented at the campus' amphitheater for a short season starting March 5, until the following Saturday, March 7, starting at 7:30pm.

As an integral part of the American School's curriculum which includes not just theater but also music, and this has become an old tradition; as such, for the past 19 years they have been performing quality musical plays, and as a matter of fact, they are the pioneers who brought English language theater to Puerto Vallarta and this initially posed a risk due to the lack of any previous performance of American musicals in this city.

Guys and Dolls, made its debut for this school as part of the performing arts in the year 1990. As of that moment, other musicals such as Grease, Oklahoma, The Wizard of Oz, My Fair lady, Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, and 4 Guys Named Jose, amongst others, have formed part of school's historical musical theater.

They now return with Oliver, a play directed by Elizabeth Mason, the musical director and Melissa O'Neil, as assistant choreographer. The story of Oliver is based on one of the most internationally acclaimed works of literature titled Oliver Twist, written by Charles Dickens, where the author takes us into the British society of the Victorian era.

Don't miss this short season and the opportunity to enjoy this magnificent musical. It's important to mention that the play is in English. Tickets cost $100 pesos and are available at the amphitheater box office.
