On October 5, 6 and 7, our city will host the Puerto Vallarta International Culinary Seminar 2009: "How to boost your business in times of crisis" to be held at the facilities of Velas Vallarta Suites Resort & Convention Center. The main goal being pursued is the updating and training of participants in the details that their job requires or that can make a difference for themselves and their company.

Today we are in an extremely competitive business world, where factors such as innovation, technology and human resources can make a difference in competitiveness at all levels and in all economic sectors including the hotel and tourism-restaurateur industry.

This seminar will offer three days of theoretical instruction - practice for all professionals from hotels and restaurants and related tourism industries, and current vital issues for each taught by the best national and international speakers, from around the world such as Spain, USA, Cuba, Mexico, Guadalajara, Tepic and Puerto Vallarta. Speakers include Jose Carlos de Santiago and Bartolome, a graduate and doctorate in economics and marketing, Guillermo Fraga, a graduate in business administration specializing in human resources; Haydhelen Velasquez, a successful entrepreneur in various countries; Elijah Sapien, with more than 20 years of experience in the field of cuisine, among others.

Another aim is to prepare the participants with specific skills and abilities that will enable their professional development in the restaurant industry, as well as carrying out functions that the sector demands as well as preparation for leadership roles, and levels of responsibility.

The cost of the seminar is $4,000 dollars per person; ask for special prices for groups and students.
