The 2009 ConComics tour returns for the second time this year to Puerto Vallarta. This coming October 24 and 25 at Los Mangos Library will welcome this tour that will visit several cities throughout Mexico and is aimed at comics and science fiction fans. There will be workshops, lectures and activities for both children and adults.
One of the most anticipated activities is the Cosplay costume for the best representation of a character from: manga; comics; anime; video game; or fantasy and science fiction and awards will be handing out for the best 3 costumes according to the classification of the judges. Anyone can participate from 14 years of age and up.
And don't miss the presence of special guests; this event will feature Mario Castañeda, Mexico's top dubbing actor who plays the voice of Goku in the Dragon Ball series; Fixia Studios, one of the largest screening studios in Mexico and will be presenting their latest release: Soulkeepers; Cesar Torner, creator of the comic book, Weakness, and Marvel Comics colorist; Quetzal Cárdenas, graphic designer and 3D animator, creator and designer of the Chenson 1818 franchise, as well as Alberto Hernández, a freelance artist with experience in film and animation projects.
The determination of the organizers in bringing us this alternative culture is reflected in the very affordable costs; with prices ranges from $40 pesos for one day and $70 pesos for a two day pass; the children under 1.20 meters in height will be admitted for free. Among the lectures to be taught will be animation, provided by the University 3dmx, as well as dubbing; both aimed specifically at professionals in this field.
