In Mexico there is a tradition of accompanying Day-of-the-Dead celebrations with a special type of bread whose surface is decorated with strips of dough that resemble bones. Commonly known as "pan de muerto," the name suggests cannibalism, but in reality, the ingredients being prepared are just: flour, yeast, butter, sugar, eggs and milk. Here are some places where you can find it, as well as Halloween cakes.

Cakes are their specialty. The combinations of ingredients used to prepare them are: coffee liqueur, cream cheese, blackberries, cheese, chocolate, peach, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, carrot, etc. Most orders are the blackberry cheesecake and the "tres leches". You can enjoy a single slice of any cake for just $30 pesos. They also offer flan, gelatins, bread, coffee, biscuits and ice cream. The pan de muertos will be available from October 29 to November 2 in 2 sizes: individual and a large for sharing.

As its name implies, the specialty of the house are the breads. Among its variety of traditional pastries, you will find shells, bagels, cuernos, trenzas, bigotes, cinnamon rolls, slices with butter and sugar, regular bread, Danish and the feité made from puff pastry. They also prepare submarine rolls and baguettes. The piece of sweet bread is priced at $9 pesos. The pan de muertos will cost $20 pesos in child sizes and $40 pesos for the large.

In his open kitchen, a wide assortment of pastries prepared sucha as biscuits, pies and cookies. The bread display, you will find: fresh cuernos, moños, conchas, donas, conos, bagels, cones, cinnamon rolls, etc. and those delights made with filo pastry as elephant ears and rieles. They also have flavored muffins, pies, empanadas and cakes prepared for every occasion. The bread cost between $4.50 and $7.50 pesos per item. The pan de muertos (Day of the Dead) bread will cost $25 pesos for small, a medium is $35 pesos and large $45 pesos.

Here they prepare white and brown bread rolls, and baguettes. Its variety of pastries is vast shells, biscuits, bagels, picones, scones, tostados, etc.., Danish pastries like cuernos, peines, cinnamon buns and bread, filo pastry biscuits and crêpes. In cakes, they have flavors such as cheese, chocolate, mocha, "tres leches", carrot and combinations thereof. There are also homemade bread and seasonal pan de muertos (Day of the Dead) bread; to be offered in four formats with prices ranging from $8 to $60 pesos.

A bakery that is known for its delicious homemade round brownies (besos). Also offered are chocolate chip, oatmeal and polvorones cookies and the following classic favorite cakes: carrot, Belgian chocolate, cheesecake, vegetarian cake; orange, custard, coconut, coconut and vanilla, lemon, chocolate, almond, 3 milks (tres leches), vanilla and carrot, and exquisite art cakes including live flower decorations. Of course there are also their pies: lemon, blackberry, coffee liqueur, chocolate, strawberry, mango and apple banana bread. There will be no pan de muertos (Day of the Dead) bread, but they prepare specialty cakes with decoration for any occasion, including Halloween.
