Holistically Supporting children and young people with cancer from low-income families, respecting their natural dignity as people, is the premise under which CANICA (Center for Children with Cancer Care) works; the main program of the Asociación Femenil Vallartense A.C. (Vallarta Women's Association).
CANICA supports, economically and in kind, these Vallarta children with their treatment in the city of Guadalajara, as well as radiation, counseling, harmonization therapy, and even transplants and prostheses. To continue this successful program, this partnership extends a cordial invitation to the celebration of the twenty-fourth edition of Traditional Rebozo Ball.
This dance, as its name implies, is already a tradition in Puerto Vallarta, promoting Mexican roots and patriotic sentiments. The funds raised are earmarked for one sector of society the most in need. It will take place on Saturday September 12 at about 9:00pm in the Las Flores Salon at the Sheraton Hotel Buganvilias. The donation will be $800 pesos per person.
In keeping the atmosphere of the event, the ladies must wear a costume or a shawl, while men wear a bandana around their neck. Livening up the Ball is the versatile group El Mayor y sus Batoz direct from Tepic, Nayarit. Also, there will be a centenary raffle among attendees.
