| On this occasion, Bay Vallarta visited San Francisco, Nayarit, better known locally as San Pancho. We were astonished by the diversity of restaurants and foods, as well as the variety of art and open spaces, considering its small size and distance from a major city.
La Taza de Café Wed-Mon 8:00am-8:00pm Tel. (311) 258-4162 You will feel right at home upon entering this breakfast eatery near the beach with colorful traditional Mexican decor. Personal attention from its proprietor, Doña Rosario Palomera, guarantees the best service. Visit and enjoy a plate of plain chilaquiles for $40 pesos or add chicken for $45 pesos. Hotel Cielo Rojo Asia 6 Tel. (311) 258-4155 This is a small and very cozy traditional Mexican hotel full of enchantment and culture, with a focus on providing personalized service. A double room costs $850 pesos per night, and a room-for-two costs $1,150 pesos, which includes a continental breakfast. The hotel also offers spa services, which include one-hour relaxation treatment, Tibetan or harmony massages for $650 pesos. Galería del Nayar Mon-Sat 10:00am-7:00pm Tel. (311) 258-4462 This gallery is a new space dedicated to promoting and introducing the work of both Mexican and international artists. It began as a formal space where artists could display their works once a month, including paintings, sculptures, photography, jewelry and performances. (311) 258-4312 Something San Pancho would not be complete without is a surfing center. Here you can find Boogie boards, bathing suits and all types of items for fun among the waves. They also offer a rental service, surfing classes, and fishing trips, everything you need to enjoy an adventurous and fun-filled day. Café del Mar Thu-Tue 5:00pm-11:00pm Tel. (311) 258-4251 This two-floor restaurant-bar features garden-like decor. On the second floor, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or shrimp dumplings with pickled beet sauce ($100 pesos) while enjoying the view of this small and peaceful town. Or if you prefer, enjoy a delicious chocolate mousse ($65 pesos). Rancho la Patrona Tel. (311) 294-2535 This enterprise is dedicated to the care and boarding of purebred horses, as well as maintaining a polo field. For some years now, the Echeverría family has formed a team skilled enough to compete in international polo tournaments. They invite anyone who is interested in participating to visit the ranch and join in this sport. El Estar Egipto 1 Mon-Sun 8:15am-5:00pm Tel. (311) 258-4256 This center offers yoga classes and other disciplines for the development of body, mind, and spirit, as well as physical therapy to aid in general well being. They use medicinal plants and traditional healing methods. Visit this establishment where they seek to provide rest and relaxation for all visitors. Costa Azul Tel.
