Low Season in Puerto Vallarta

After the summer holidays (July and August) the most of Mexican people come back to work, children and teens are back to school and for a lot of families the activities back to normal. This time is called Temporada baja or low season.

During September, October and part of November, in some tourist destinies the number of travellers is notably reduced.

If you are looking for a relaxing and inexpensive holiday, look into visiting Puerto Vallarta in the off-peek season. You will also find excellent deals for visitors; clean beaches; many restaurants drop prices and offers specials and promotions; hotels, condos and private rentals can drop prices upwards of 50%; some of the airlines scale down flights to Vallarta. If you like fishing you can charter a boat for less than peek season.

To attract travellers to Puerto Vallarta several properties are offering special deals. Currently specials are available at several hotels and villas including Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa, Villa del Palmar, Playa del Sol Grand, Playa Los Arcos; best for families like Villa del Mar, Villas Vallarta, Plaza Pelícanos, Mexican Resort, NH Krystal; located in Downtown/Centro like El Pescador, Hotel Rosita; in Nuevo Vallarta: Marival Grand & Club Suites, Villa La Estancia, Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Samba Vallarta; and only for adults like Hacienda el Carmen y Casa Doña Susana. These low prices give the visitor the opportunity to enjoy four and five star accommodations with a budget friendly price.

  • Boca Bento. Closed indefinitely for change of address
  • Hacienda Alemana. September 01 – October 01
  • Le Kliff. All September
  • Las Palomas Doradas. September 01 – 12
  • Mestizo. September 01 – October 15
  • Kit Kat. Closed indefinitely for remodeling
  • Café des Artistes Del Mar. All September
  • La Noche Azul. September 01 – October 15
  • Café Candela. September 01 – October 01
  • Adriático. All September
  • Uncommon Grounds Buddha Bar. September 01 – October 01

Restaurants permanently closed:

  • Coté Sud
  • Kamakura
  • Wafflería
  • Nikki Beach
  • Talento
  • Cava Cinco
  • The Shrimp Factory

Although we will say a definitive or temporarily goodbye to these restaurants, fortunately there are still too many options which offers cuisine of all the countries. Having Fun!

The water is warm, the mountains are a brilliant shade of green perfect to take ecotourism and adventure tours, fishing charters and boat tours. Great discounts are also available on tee times at all of the areas spectacular golf courses.
