Punta Serena Villas & Spa Category 5 stars

This is a very romantic and relaxing resort. It's filled with Mexico's charm. The rooms are very big and kept clean. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. The bathrooms are very charming with the mexican tile tubs which are huge. Bring your own blowdryer and shampoo if you don't want to use whats in the container they provide on the vanity. The food is good, but you get the same menu every night. You get a chance to try everything if you're there for a week. The kitchen does try to accomodate if you want something else, and ask every night if they have a special. They usually won't tell you unless you ask. Breakfast and lunch are really good. The drinks are always flowing at the bar, and you get real glasses and big glasses at that, not plastic. Remember that your package does include horsback riding and a riverboat tour. Book all of these in the lobby. We weren't told this and missed out on that. The staff in the lobby books everything for you including massages and any taxis you may need. Massages were great! Tours are at the sister resort next door which gets extremely busy with tons of kids. The sister resort is ok, the beach there is excellent. Beach at this resort is really nice, but go with an open mind, because if you are squeemish about clothing optional areas, most people don't wear their clothes.
